Be Anything, Just Don't Be Boring.
Ryan Choura, a versatile entrepreneur, is best known as the visionary behind Choura Events, a company specializing in constructing expansive tenting structures, flooring, and furniture for iconic mega-events, including Coachella, Grand Prix Long Beach, ESPYS, Formula 1, SuperBowl, and many more. With a committed team of over 100 professionals, Choura Events orchestrates approximately 250 top-tier events annually nationwide.
Adaptability and Innovation
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryan exemplified extraordinary adaptability. Faced with the stark reality of impending layoffs due to event cancellations, he transitioned his company into a force for good by launching Lifeline Health, a rapid-response disaster relief organization. This strategic pivot enabled thousands of people to receive the care that they needed, and the Choura team to promptly reopen for business.
Emerging from the pandemic, Ryan also founded Dorothy Creative, an experiential agency collaborating with illustrious brands such as Netflix, Paramount, Peacock, Exxon Mobil, and Tesla to craft marketing strategies and events that authentically mirror their unique identities.
Ryan's philanthropic mission was ignited by his 10th-grade English teacher, inspiring him to support underprivileged and often homeless children. He actively champions organizations like the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach, Walk with Sally, and Care's Closet. His contributions involve coordinating events, fundraisers, and donations, empowering young individuals to realize their full potential as responsible citizens.
The most fulfilling aspects of Ryan's life revolve around his two children, George and Grace. In addition to being a loving father, he is a seasoned water ski racer, making history by breaking the Long Beach Water Ski race record in 2004. Furthermore, his unwavering dedication to running marathons has seen him triumph in prestigious races, achieving remarkable sub-three-hour finishes in both the 2022 Boston and 2023 Berlin Marathons.
